Thursday 28 April was World Day for Safety and Health at Work and Workers' Memorial Day. The day provides an opportunity to reflect on how to prevent work-related occupational diseases, deaths, injuries, and illnesses. It is also a day to remember those that have died from a work-related injury or illness.

Workers in the transport, postal and warehousing sectors have one of the highest rates of exposure to workplace fatality; of any industry in Australia.

About our World Day for Safety and Health at Work — Risk Management Strategies for On Road Risks Webinar:

Our webinar covers risk management approaches that are planned, systematic and covers all reasonably foreseeable hazards and associated risks. Hear from a panel of experts including representatives from:

  • The Victorian Transport Association, one of Australia's oldest transport industry advocates. VTA provides us with the view of a leading industry association around emerging trends in the industry and the application of mental health hazard management to drive improved results.
  • Transport Certification Australia, a national organisation that provides assurance services relating to transport technologies and are the essential interface between government, technology providers, the industry sector and users of telematics. Representatives from Transport Certification Australia help to demystify the application of telematics as a means of identifying on-road health and safety risks.
  • National Transport Insurance Limited (NTI), Australia's leading Marine and Motor Vehicle specialist insurer. NTI give us the perspective of serious claims history from an Insurer's point of view and highlight the case studies of their insured clients who excel in managing on-road vehicle risk.
