Private equity investment can help economies recover, grow and innovate by providing access to credit and capital, and drive productivity and profitability across a range of sectors and geographies. The Gallagher global Private Equity Risk Outlook Survey 2021 reviews private equity activity over 12 months and canvasses the views of 150 companies across the world on market conditions and which sectors are attracting more attention and why.

The report highlights the views of private equity companies with an average of AU$1840 million worth of assets under management (AUM) each, with most (76%) with assets valued at more than $600 million.
The survey findings include

  • industry sector preferences
  • environmental sustainability and governance (esg)
  • geographical shifts and focus.

The report also includes the survey findings on insurance buying trends, including directors and officers' liability (D&O) and warranty and indemnity (WI) cover, and the role these play in supporting transactions.
